python-passfd software package provides Python functions to pass file descriptors across UNIX domain, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-passfd
python-passfd is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-passfd package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-passfd *
You will get with python-passfd package name, version, architecture and description in a table
